If you have one restaurant to try in New Orleans, this is the place. It may not be contemporary Cajun or Creole cuisine, but it's damn good. The ideas are simple and dishes are straightforward with some interesting twists. Nothing was a random cacophony of flavors and colors. The carrots were definitely the star of the night, the chicken has perfectly crispy skin while being juicy and tender, oh, and the coffee... spectacular! Seriously, take your lady or man here, they'll absolutely have a great time.

Recently in New Orleans, and I regret only getting to eat here once AND only sampling such a small part of the menu! But let me say - THE BEST RAW OYSTERS. We got the half dozen of the Shucker's Choice, and I regret not ordering six dozen, lol. We sat at the bar and watched him shuck them, too. Probably the first time I haven't ended up with a piece of shell in my mouth as well. Great mignonette with champagne vinegar. We also had the pork belly, but the oysters were the star of the show for us. We shall be back to NOLA and Le Chat Noir!

Id say my husband and I are pretty tough critics. So when I don’t have any negatives to say about a place, that’s pretty rare. We live here in Nola and have tried a pretty good amount of restaurants, and Le Chat Noir is one of the best I’ve tasted here. Everything from the drinks to the desert was fantastic. For apps we had the carrots and the bone marrow (special of the night). Both had incredible flavor. For dinner we had the ribeye for two with sweet potatoes and mushrooms as sides. The ribeye had great flavor and had a sauce on the side too which was really good. For desert we had the hazelnut crème brûlée. Omg what an incredible desert. So good. I could eat that forever. Thank you Diana for the great service. All around 10/10! We will be back!

Wandered in for Saturday happy hour, what an absolute treat! The anchovies/focaccia was insane. We splurged and got two desserts- the baba au rhum was to die for !

Amazing!!! Everything was delicious! The bone marrow! The steak!! Even the carrots!! So happy to have this restaurant in Nola!! I found out that the chef's name is Seth! Congrats! You deserve a Michelin Star!

Absolutely lovely dining experience with choice ingredients, purposeful preparation, and great staff. We loved the ambiance and watching the chefs prepare the meal from the dining room. I love that you can pick several different small plates and share several things or you can choose the larger entrées. The bread service was so fresh and delicious as well. Will come again!

If I had to name a 2022 favorite new restaurant, Le Chat Noir is it. I have been ~5 times this year and every time it is fabulous. The most recent visit may have been my favorite. They have a great oyster program, great cocktails, and great menu items. If you are a vegetarian, you’d love this place but you’ll love it just as much if not.

We went for our wedding anniversary. The server was amazing, we followed his recommendations which is my favorite way to dine. They greeted us with champagne for our anniversary. I really enjoyed being able to watch the chef and kitchen prepare the food. It’s such a cool vibe and atmosphere. Convenient pay to park lot next door.
